The rules for using Tim.
Tim is a free AI chatbot for Discord servers. Server administrators connect their own AI provider account (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, or a custom OpenAI-compatible endpoint such as a local model), and Tim chats with members using that account:
The AI provider account connected to your server is yours. You are responsible for its costs, its API terms, and keeping the key safe. Tim stores your key encrypted and never displays it again after you save it, but you should still treat API keys as secrets and rotate them if you believe one was exposed.
You may use Tim in servers you administer. You may not use it to harass, spam, or harm other users, to break Discord's Terms of Service, or to break your AI provider's terms. Server admins are responsible for the filter level they choose and the keys they connect. AI-generated replies can be wrong โ don't treat them as professional advice.
Tim is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, correct answers, or any particular behavior of the connected AI provider, and we are not liable for damages arising from use of the bot.
We may update these terms as Tim evolves. Significant changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date below; continued use of the bot after a change means you accept the updated terms.
